Kai Havertz stands out for Arsenal in convincing win vs Brighton

Arsenal playmaker Kai Havertz produced a stand-out performance during the 3-0 Premier League win over Brighton & Hove Albion on the road.

The Gunners were anticipated to face a testing challenge against the Seagulls. The hosts started brilliantly in the early minutes, but Arsenal asserted their dominance soon after.

A Bukayo Saka penalty put them ahead at the break, but they could have easily been two or three goals ahead during the opening half with the clear-cut chances created.

In the 62nd minute, Havertz doubled the club’s advantage with a fine goal. Jorginho delivered a quality assist for the German, who beat the goalkeeper at his near post.

Four minutes from time, Havertz turned provider for Leandro Trossard’s brilliant counter-attacking goal.

The former Chelsea man has been in excellent form since the turn of the year and he has now registered 10 goal contributions in his last seven league games for Arsenal.

Aside from his goal and assist today, Havertz also won seven ground and aerial duels. He provided four key passes and was not dispossessed even once during the game.

There were no surprises that he was adjudged the man of the match. The fans will be hoping that he can carry on his good form in the upcoming Champions League tie.

Arsenal welcome Bayern Munich to the Emirates Stadium for the first leg of the quarter-final.

They will start as slight favourites against the German giants, who have lost two league games on the bounce and are set to lose their Bundesliga crown after 12 years.

However, Thomas Tuchel’s side still have the quality to hurt any opposition. With nothing to play for in the league, Bayern won’t be an easy outfit to face in Europe.

Havertz looks on course to lead the attack. We fancy a couple of changes with Gabriel Martinelli and Jakub Kiwior replacing Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
