Jurgen Klopp tips Arsenal to beat Manchester United if Red Devils play against them like they did vs Liverpool
|Arsenal are top of the Premier League table with seven league games remaining after Liverpool and Manchester United played out a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
The result saw the Reds miss out on the chance to reclaim first position after the Gunners moved there following their 3-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.
The title race is expected to keep taking shape between now and the end of the campaign, and Arsenal will still be facing Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Man United.
The North Londoners face the Red Devils at Old Trafford in the penultimate game of 2023-24, and while the test could prove to be a tricky one for them, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is confident they will beat Man United if the Red Devils play against them like they did against his side today.
“Probably. If we are still around then that would be great,” Klopp replied when asked if he will be cheering for Man Utd when Arsenal play at Old Trafford next month.
“But Arsenal is a good football team. If they (Man Utd) play like they did today they (Arsenal) will win the game. I am 100% sure of that.”
Arsenal have been blowing teams away since the start of the year, and beating this current Man United side will be the least of their problems.
The Gunners have won ten of the 11 league games they have played this year, drawing the other, and it is hard to see them losing to this inconsistent Red Devils team.
Man United have won five of their last 11 league games, drawing three and losing the other three, and while Liverpool could not beat them during their three meetings this term, it is likely to be a different story against this inspired Arsenal team.
The Gunners are desperate to win the Premier League title for the first time since 2004 and will give their all to ensure they win all the remaining seven games.
They simply cannot afford to drop any point at this stage of the campaign, with just a superior goal difference separating them from Liverpool and a point between them and Manchester City, and beating Man United and others is a must.
