Confirmed Arsenal line-up vs Aston Villa

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made three changes to the starting line-up for today’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are currently two points behind Manchester City for the top spot in the standings and have the chance to reclaim their position with a victory over the Villans.

Ahead of the game, Arteta has made three changes from the 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

At left-back, Jakub Kiwior makes way for Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Pole had a tough game against Bayern and was partly responsible for both goals conceded.

Jorginho has dropped to the bench on the back of an average outing in midweek. Declan Rice will play in the number six role today with Kai Havertz possibly partnering him.

In attack, Gabriel Martinelli has been replaced by Leandro Trossard on the left wing. The Belgian ace scored the crucial equaliser against Bayern in the Champions League.

Gabriel Jesus was also influential towards Trossard’s strike. His mazy dribble in the box paved the way for the Belgian’s goal. He will lead the attack against Villa today.

Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Rice, Havertz; Saka, Odegaard, Trossard; Jesus.

Arsenal have been in brilliant league form since the turn of the year with 10 wins and one draw.

They have the chance to continue their sensational run against Villa, who are missing some key players. The visitors are without two of their main midfielders in Douglas Luiz and Boubacar Kamara.

The Gunners suffered a 1-0 loss in the reverse fixture, but they could have easily won the game with the big chances created. They will be determined to make amends in today’s encounter.
