Takehiro Tomiyasu absent from Arsenal training today, Bukayo Saka wearing strapping on his leg ahead of Manchester United game
|Arsenal return to Premier League action on Sunday with a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in their penultimate game of the 2023-24 campaign, and they will be desperate to pick up all three points to maintain their title dreams.
The Gunners strolled to a 3-0 victory against Bournemouth on Saturday and would fancy their chances against a Red Devils side that lost 4-0 against Crystal Palace last night.
However, it appears there are some injury scares for manager Mikel Arteta to deal with ahead of the Man United game.
According to Sky Sports, Japanese defender Takehiro Tomiyasu was absent from Arsenal training at Sobha Realty Training Centre on Tuesday morning at the time of coverage, but they pointed out that he could join the rest of the team later on.
Bukayo Saka was also seen wearing strapping on his leg following the cut he sustained against the Cherries but does not appear to be in any form of pain or discomfort.
The England international was later withdrawn in the 86th minute but is expected to be available to face Man United.
Arsenal lead the way in the Premier League table by a point having played one more game than Man City and will be facing Everton on the last day of the season.
They need to win their remaining two games and hope the reigning champions drop points when they take on Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
Apart from Tomiyasu who was absent during the early part of their training today, Arsenal have no other injury worries with Jurrien Timber finally back with the first-team.
The North Londoners cannot afford to be without any of their key players right now and will be feeling pretty confident ahead of their last two games.
