Arsenal ace Leandro Trossard can be stubborn, sometimes causing a difference of opinion with Mikel Arteta
|Arsenal attacking midfielder Leandro Trossard can be stubborn, sometimes causing a difference of opinion with manager Mikel Arteta, according to The Times.
However, it has passed quickly and the Belgium international reflects that Arteta made a PowerPoint presentation at 10 p.m on the day after he joined from Brighton & Hove Albion, showing where and how the forward could evolve as a player.
It is normal for players and managers to sometimes disagree on several matters, but it is often always for the best.
Trossard joined Arsenal in January 2023, ending the second half of the season with a league goal and ten assists.
The 29-year-old continued his fine form in 2023-24, scoring 12 league goals, with ten of them either an opener, equaliser or winner.
He also weighed in with five goals and an assist across other competitions and was one of the Gunners’ most important players.
Trossard has really evolved and improved as a player, and Arteta has played a key role in his recent growth and development.
Only Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz scored more goals than the Belgian, with his versatility making him a key player for Arsenal.
Unfortunately, he could not help the North Londoners land the title despite his best efforts and will hope their fortunes improve next term when they aim to win the Premier League title at the third time of asking.
As for his stubbornness, it appears Trossard has finally admitted that he needs to agree with Arteta more as there has been no major disagreement between the duo so far, and the Belgian will do well to keep most of his opinions to himself going forward.
